Man Facing Theft from Elderly Charges
SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A Minford man is facing charges for stealing and using the checks of an 83-year-old man.
According to a release from the Scioto County Sheriff, Stephen Crowe, 45, of Minford, Ohio, was arrested by deputies on Wednesday.
Deputies were called to a home on Swauger Valley Road and made a report about the forged checks. According to the release, as a result of the report, an investigation was started and evidence was presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury. An indictment was returned by the Grand Jury and a warrant for the arrest of Crowe was issued.
Crowe is being charged with four counts of theft, receiving stolen property and theft from the elderly. He is being held without bond.
