SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – A man who made headlines two years ago when he went missing for nearly two months was found dead in the parking lot of a store in New Boston, Ohio Thursday morning.
New Boston Police do not believe foul play was a factor in James Laack’s death.
Laack, 38, was found on the parking lot just after 3 a.m. Police say surveillance video shows Laack getting out of car just after 1 a.m. and staggering around the lot, before falling down and not getting back up. Police believe his death is alcohol related.
Laack went missing in September 2012. In November 2012, Laack was found. Investigators say he had been living in an abandoned house in the same area where his car was found back in September 2012.
At one point during his disappearance, he was recorded on a deer hunter's surveillance camera, proving he was still alive.
