UPDATE: Missing Vinton County Man Located

UPDATE 6/25/14 @ 3 p.m.
VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man reported missing from Vinton County, Ohio on Monday has been located in Ottawa County, Ohio.

Joshua Peters, 23, left his house early Monday morning to go to work.

Peters did not arrive at work and failed to call off. He also failed to return home.

Vinton County Sheriff Shawn Justice tells WSAZ.com that police in Marblehead, Ohio stopped Peters’ pickup earlier Wednesday.

Sheriff Justice says a detective talked to Peters on the phone. Peters said he was fine and just wanted to get away.

Peter checked into a motel in Port Clinton, Ohio Monday night, and then checked out on Tuesday.

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man reported missing from Vinton County, Ohio was reportedly in Port Clinton, Ohio late Monday and early Tuesday.

Joshua Peters, 23, left his house early Monday morning to go to work.

Peters did not arrive at work and failed to call off. He also failed to return home.

Vinton County Sheriff Shawn Justice tells WSAZ.com that Peters checked into a motel in Port Clinton Monday night, and then checked out on Tuesday.

Sheriff Justice says he currently has no information on his whereabouts.

Justice says investigators still want to talk to Peters

There is no word why he was in Port Clinton.

The Sheriff’s Office says he was last seen driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Z71 1500 pickup truck. The truck is an extra cab, has a lift kit with big tires, and has an Ohio license plate, FRD8168.

VINTON COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A man from Vinton County has been missing since Monday when he didn't show up for work, according to information from the Vinton County Sheriff's Office.

Joshua Peters, 23, left his house early Monday morning to go to work.

He did not arrive at work and failed to call off, which is very unusual for him. He also failed to return home.

The Vinton County Sheriff's Office is concerned for Peters' safety and is asking for the public's help in locating him. He was last seen driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Z71 1500 pickup truck. The truck is an extra cab, has a lift kit with big tires, and has an Ohio license plate, FRD8168.
