MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A woman and her boyfriend have been arrested on drug charges after deputies responded to a children services complaint at her home in Meigs County on Wednesday.
Sheriff Keith Woods says that when deputies arrived at the home on Price Road they noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from the home.
During a search of the home, Wood says deputies found a 150 plant indoor grow operation, a large amount of packaged marijuana, heroin, prescription drugs, drug paraphernalia and guns.
Deputies arrested Melissa Wooten, 29, and Robert Lovell, 33, and charged both with cultivation of marijuana, drug trafficking, possession of paraphernalia and child endangerment.
Sheriff Woods says Wooten’s two young children were home at the time of the arrests.
Wooten was taken to the Middleport Jail, Lovell the Washington County Jail.
