Meigs County Sheriff's Deputy K-9 Dies

MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A recently acquired Meigs County Sheriff's K-9 deputy named Zach died about 11 p.m. Tuesday from an internal blockage.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Zack was rushed to Charleston for emergency surgery, but doctors were unable to save the dog's life.

Just two weeks before, deputies introduced Zack to the public, saying that he would be trained on drug detection and apprehending criminals.
