Motorcycle Crash Injures Rider

SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A motorcycle rider has been taken to the hospital after crashing into a stopped car along U.S. 52 in South Point.

It happened at the intersection of Delta Lane after 11:30 Tuesday morning.

A witness tells WSAZ.com that the car was stopped at the red light when the motorcycle ran into the rear of the car.

Witnesses say the rider, a man, was not wearing a helmet. Helmets are not required in Ohio.

No information on the rider has been released. The driver of the car was not hurt.

The Ohio Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
