ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- An Ohio University professor pleaded not guilty Thursday to child porn charges.
Amol T. Kharabe, 41, of Dublin, Ohio was arrested at his home earlier this week after being indicted by an Athens County grand jury on 10 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor, one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and one count of possessing criminal tools.
According to the Athens County Prosecutor's Office, Kharabe is accused of being in possession of a laptop that had child pornography on it on September 18, 2013.
Investigators say he was accessing the child pron while on the University's network.
Kharabe's bond was set at $50,000 signature bond and he was required to sign a release on his own recognizance.
His trial has been set for May 6.
Athens City Police investigated the case.
An Ohio University spokesperson says the University was made aware of the arrest and "the faculty member" is on administrative leave.
