MEIGS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The Ohio Highway Patrol has released the name of a woman who died in a crash Friday morning in Meigs County.
They say Michelle Hayes, 29, of Gallipolis, was driving on State Route 7 in Reedsville when she went left of center and hit a semi truck traveling in the opposite direction.
The crash happened about 1 mile south of Eastern High School about 9:15 a.m.
OHP says Hayes died in the crash.
Her passenger was life flighted to a hospital, but has been treated and released.
Two people in the semi were not injured.
The road was shut down for about two hours.
