PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A Portsmouth man was arrested on drug charges and for violating his probation, according to a news release from the Scioto County Sheriff's Office.
Charles Peter George, 40, was charged with possession of drugs and violating his probation. He was arrested Tuesday in the 1400 block of 14th Street in Portsmouth.
George was found in possession of suspected crack cocaine and then taken to his home in the 1900 block of Grandview Avenue where deputies conducted a probation church. They found several packets of Suboxone sublingual film, which is commonly used for the treatment of addiction to painkillers.
George is being held without bond in the Scioto County Jail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Dec. 4 in Portsmouth Municipal Court.
