LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – The Lawrence County, Ohio Sheriff’s Office is investigating a rash of vehicle break-ins overnight Monday in Rome Township.

Sheriff Jeff Lawless says approximately 12 vehicles were broken into between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Lawless says the break-ins happened on Garnett Street, Lakeland Drive, White Avenue and Gardner Lane. Most of the vehicles were parked in driveways and the doors were left unlocked. There were no signs of forced entry.

The Sheriff says small items, such as loose change, medications, tools and debit cards were taken.

“None of our victims heard or saw anything so we are asking anyone who may information about these thefts to contact the Sheriff’s Office,” said Lawless.
