GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- After living on the same farm for 40 years, Joann Haskins never dreamed she'd be dealing with something like this.

"Someone came up onto my property and dumped raw sewage into my field," Joann Haskins said.

Two weeks ago she noticed tire tracks coming out of the hayfield just below her home. She went to investigate and couldn't believe what she found.

"Cigarette filters... tampon papers... toilet tissue," Joann said.

Joann's daughter has stayed with her since her husband died earlier this year. She says something like this puts their health at risk.

"Who's to say that can't seep into the ground and get into our water and here we are going to be drinking that," Joann's daughter Jennifer said.

After all this happened, Joann took matters into her own hands. She put up no trespassing signs, surveillance cameras, security lights... All to try to keep people off her property.

"It's bought and paid for," Joann said. "We worked hard all our lives to get it. And leave me alone and let me enjoy it!"

Now she's afraid the same people are dumping the sewage other places around the county.

"If they're doing it illegal -- and we know they are -- and now that our gate's locked, where are they dumping it at?" Joann asked.

The truck responsible was a red pickup with a tank on the back. The Gallia County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
