NEW BOSTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A student who admitted to bringing two .22 caliber shells to school has been charged with inducing panic on schools
New Boston Police say the incident happened at Glenwood High School Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a teacher found the shell casing on a hallway floor. Officers then went to the school where they searched all school lockers for any weapons. Captain Steve Goins say no weapons of any kind were found.
Upon further investigation, NBPD Officers and School Officials questioned a 15-year-old male student who admitted to bringing in the two shells to school to show to another student.
That student is now to appear in juvenile court on the charge.
Goins wants to stress there was no weapon or firearm of any kind associated with this incident, no firearms were found on the school property and no students were in any physical danger.
