SCIOTO COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) – Friday night couples were hoping the weather wouldn’t put a damper on their special night out.
Dates who were leaving the Portsmouth Cinemas were surprised when they came outside and saw a heavy snowfall.
People were eager to make it home before the roads iced up. They say nothing kills romance like ending your night in a ditch.
Chris Belford says the picturesque snowfall does add to the romantic feeling.
“It’s really nice, as long as the roads don't get too bad,” Belford said.
Some of the younger film attendees who didn’t bring significant others enjoyed the snow, as well, having snowball fights outside the theater.
