SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The South Point Police Department will resume its Facebook activity on a limited basis, it was announced at Tuesday night's Village Council meeting.
Officers stopped posting to the page June 20 after some residents complained about what was being written on the page.
The police chief said officers will start posting to it again in a few weeks -- but on a limited basis.
South Point resident Patty Dolin said she's glad to see it return.
"We used it especially for all the break-ins and things that we've had lately in South Point," Dolin said. "We were very happy to have the Facebook group so it would tell us the areas that people were in and things that we could look out for."
Also during Tuesday's meeting, council members voted to study just how much tax revenue could be raised for the police department through a tax levy.
