GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) –The Gallia County Sheriff is releasing information on the arrest of three people following a 6-month investigation in alleged drug trafficking at a house along SR 588 in Gallia County.
The home is in the 2400 block of State Route 588 in Green Township.
Sheriff Joe Browning says the home was reported to be a major drug hub and that the investigation uncovered a major drug supplier from the Detroit and Columbus areas
On July 21, agents with the Ohio Organized Crime Commission, Gallia-Meigs Major Crimes Task Force, MDENT Task Force from Putnam County WV and DEA officials raided the home.
Task force agents say they seized 62 grams of heroin, 9.8 grams of crack, 3 grams of marijuana and $1,468 in cash..
Earnest J. Moore, III, 36, of Gallipolis and Brandon Q. McNair, 31, of Columbus were arrested and charged with drug possession and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
The Sheriff says Moore,III is reportedly on parole on similar charges out of from Franklin County, Ohio.
Also arrested was Rasheed T. Lathem of Detriot. Lathem was charged with possession of heroin. He was also wanted on a felony probation warrant from Michigan.
All three men remain in the Gallia County Jail.
