SOUTH POINT, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Investigators seize nearly 300 pills from a local hotel and now two people are facing charges.
According to a press release from the Lawrence Drug & Major Crimes Task Force, Emmanuel Anderson, 33, of Huntington, and Heather Ratliff, 29, of South Point, Ohio, are both facing charges.
The task force seized 295 oxycodone pills during a raid at the Southern Hills Hotel near the Solida Road exit of U.S. 52, according to the release.
Anderson is being charged with two counts of drug trafficking and one count of aggravated possession of drugs.
Ratliff is being charged with four counts of drug trafficking.
According to the release, the task force also seized $1,651 in cash.
The oxycodone pills have an approximate street value of $8,850.
David Marcum, and investigator with the task force, tells WSAZ.com that Anderson was actually out on bond in connection with an armed robbery.
Back in February, Anderson was charged in connection with robbing Brian Warden on the Route 60 Walmart parking lot. Police later described the robbery as a "drug deal gone bad."
Anderson and Ratliff will have to report the the Lawrence County Common Please Court as a result of secret indictments returned by a recent Grand Jury.
