Two Men Arrested after Meth Lab Bust in Gallipolis

GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Two men are behind bars after a meth lab bust in Gallipolis.

The Gallipolis Police Department and Gallia County Sheriff's Office found a lab in an out building in the 700-block of 3rd Avenue about 10:45 Wednesday night.

Police say they had received a tip about the lab.

While investigators were there, two men showed up to the scene.

Police say Mathew White, 22, had an inactive lab on him. He was arrested and charged with illegal manufacturing of drugs.

Joshua Morrison, 25, also showed up at the scene. He was arrested and charged with being in possession of a drug abuse instrument.

A technician from the Gallia County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene to neutralize the chemicals and dispose of the materials. The Gallipolis Volunteer Fire Department and Gallia County EMS also helped with the cleanup.
