Window Shot Out on School Bus; No Students Hurt

ATHENS, Ohio -- A 12-year-old boy faces possible charges after he admitted to firing a BB gun at a school bus with children on-board on Wednesday, according to Athens County Sheriff Pat Kelly.

Sheriff Kelly says the back window on the bus was shot out and there were 23 children on the bus.

Kelly says the incident reportedly happened after the bus passed the Redman Lodge area in Athens.

The Sheriff says the back window on the bus was shot out and there 23 children on the bus at the time of the incident.

Kelly says the driver told deputies that he and other children saw three boys standing along a driveway of a residence, and that one of the children on the bus said the one of the boys was holding what looked like a BB gun.

Investigators say they were not able to find a BB/Pellet inside the bus.

There were no reported injuries.
