Youth Cheerleading Coach Pleads Guilty to Theft

ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A youth cheerleading coach has pleaded guilty to stealing money from the group, according to the Athens County Prosecutor.

Christa Shutts, 30, of Jacksonville, Ohio, pleaded guilty to theft on Monday.

The prosecutor says Shutts used funds raised by the Trimble Wee Cat’s fund for personal expenditures.

Shutts will not serve jail time, but was ordered to complete 100 hours of community service and pay $4,000 in restitution to the Trimble Wee Cat’s fund.
