CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- Joseph Oliverio II, a painting company owner who twice ran for governor, has died.

Oliverio was 55-years-old. Perine Funeral Home in Shinnston says he died Friday night at his home in Clarksburg.

Oliverio started his company, Joseph Oliverio Painting of Clarksburg, when he was 15-years-old.

In 2000 and in 2004 Oliverio ran for governor, losing both times in the Republican primary.

A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg with Father Casey Mahone as celebrant.
