Kanawha Assessor Race Set for November

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For the first time since 1995 there will be a new Assessor in Kanawha County.

Democrat Sallie Robinson will face Republican Forest Carper in the General Election in November.

Robinson is a long time employee of the Assessor's race. Robinson announced she would run for the office when current Assessor Phyllis Gatson decided last year she wasn't going to seek re-election.

Carper is a local contractor and developer.
