FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- House Speaker Greg Stumbo says he's "not necessarily" interested in running for governor in 2015 even though several other Democrats are considering bids.

The Floyd County Democrat told reporters on Friday that he enjoys his leadership position in the House.

Other potential Democratic candidates include Lt. Gov. Jerry Abramson, Auditor Adam Edelen, Attorney General Jack Conway, Secretary of State Alison Grimes, former Auditor Crit Luallen and former Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo.

The list of Republicans who have been mentioned as potential candidates is shorter. Louisville businessman Phil Moffett frequently comes up in political circles, as does U.S. Rep. Brett Guthrie and Agriculture Commissioner James Comer.
