JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The southbound lanes of I-77 in Jackson County are back open.
The interstate was closed between Ripley and Ravenswood because of black ice and a five car crash.
Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com, the road has been salted and the crash has been removed from the roadway.
Only minor injuries were reported in the accident.
The accident was reported about 8 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-77 between Ripley and Ravenswood.
Ripley Firefighters tell WSAZ.com five vehicles were involved in the crash. Black ice is believed to have caused it.
No word on any injuries.
Again, the southbound lanes are closed at this time.
