UPDATE: Five-Vehicle Crash Closes Portion of I-64 in Huntington; All Lanes Reopened

UPDATE 11/1/12 @ 5:45 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A five-vehicle crash caused traffic issues Thursday afternoon on I-64.

Cabell County dispatchers tell WSAZ.com that all lanes have reopened.

Five vehicles were involved. Four people were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. One person was treated at the scene.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The westbound lanes of I64 are back open after a five-vehicle crash on I-64 Thursday afternoon. The eastbound lanes remain closed.

The crash happened in the eastbound lanes about 3:15 p.m. at the 6 mile marker. That's just east of the West 17th Street exit.

Five vehicles were involved. Four people were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. One person was treated at the scene.

No word when the eastbound lanes will reopen.

No word at this time on what caused the crash.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A five-vehicle crash has closed a portion of I-64 in Huntington

The accident is in the eastbound lanes at the 6 mile marker. This is just east of the West 17th Street exit.

Our crew at the scene says the accident involves three cars and two trucks. One of the pickup trucks is on its side.

The Cabell County Sheriff's Office tells WSAZ.com that five people were involved in the crash. Four of them are being transported to local hospitals. Their injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

The accident was reported about 3:15 Thursday. Right now both eastbound lanes are closed. One westbound lane is also blocked.

No word how the accident happened.
