UPDATE: I-79 Reopens After Early Morning Accident

UPDATE 11/16/13 @ 10:10 a.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- All lanes of Interstate 79 are back open after an early-morning accident.

It happened near mile marker 6 -- near the Big Chimney exit about 4:30 a.m.

It's unclear what caused the accident that sent one person to the hospital. No word on that person's name or condition.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The northbound lanes of Interstate 79 are still closed after an accident at the seven and a half mile marker around 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

The accident happened between the Big Chimney and Elkview exits.

Still no word on what caused the accident sending one person to the hospital.

DOH is still on the scene.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An accident shuts down the northbound lanes on Interstate 79 in Kanawha County.

The accident happened early Saturday morning around 4:30. It happened near the seven and a half mile marker on I-79. That's between the Big Chimney and Elkview exits.

Kanawha County dispatch says there is possible entrapment.
