CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Candy and cash; that is what State Police say a man stole during an armed robbery at the Dollar General near Huntington Monday night.
The store in the Eastern Heights Shopping Center was robbed about 8:30 p.m.
Troopers say the thief showed a gun and demanded cash. He also apologized to the clerk after grabbing the Jolly Ranchers.
The thief ran from the store, and K-9 units tracked his trail toward the West Pea Ridge area.
Troopers say the suspect was in his 30s and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.
