UPDATE: Man Arrested in Armed Robbery at Restaurant in Cross Lanes

CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was arrested Tuesday night in an armed robbery earlier that day at a Captain D's restaurant in Cross Lanes, according to Charleston Police.

Officers say Sean Sampson-Audorff, 22, of Nitro, walked into the restaurant and handed a note to a worker, saying he had a gun and wanted cash. He then took off.

The robbery happened about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Captain D's along Circle Drive in Cross Lanes.

The Charleston Police Special Enforcement Unit, along with the Nitro Police Department, tracked Sampson-Audorff down and arrested him.

There's no word yet on whether the suspect got away with any money.

CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An armed robbery was reported at a restaurant in Cross Lanes.

Dispatchers tell WSAZ.com about 3 p.m. Tuesday, a man went into the Captain D's on Circle Drive in Cross Lanes and handed a note to a worker that said he had a gun and wanted cash.

Dispatchers say the man was wearing a black and white sweatshirt and a red hat. He left the restaurant on foot.

No word if the man got away with any cash.
