UPDATE: Woman Facing Charges in Hit and Run that Hurt 2 Paramedics

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The woman accused of a hit and run accident that left two paramedics injured has been identified and now faces charges.

The crash happened last Tuesday night when the driver of an ambulance was making a left turn from U.S. 119 into the parking lot of Hardee's Restaurant in Big Chimney.

On Friday, Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies located Lisa Carol Walker, 45, of Elkview. According to a news release, Walker told deputies she was intoxicated at the time of the crash, and her car was illegal so she fled the scene.

Walker is facing hit and run, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance.

Deputies say additional charges may be filed in the case.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a woman accused of hitting an ambulance with her vehicle and then taking off.

The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when the driver of an ambulance was making a left turn from U.S. 119 into the parking lot of Hardees Restaurant in Big Chimney.

According to a news release, the driver of a white colored Buick car was going at a high rate of speed when she smashed into the ambulance and took off.

The driver of the ambulance, Thomas Robinson, 26, of Cross Lanes, and passenger, Karrie Cunningham, 34, were hurt in the incident.

The female appeared to medics as being under the influence of an unknown substance and headed north on U.S. 119, according to the release.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- U.S. 119 was closed in both directions late Tuesday night in the Big Chimney area because of an accident with injuries involving an ambulance, according to information from Metro 911.

The agency reported the road closure, affecting both the northbound and southbound lanes, about 10 p.m. Tuesday. It is in the area of the Hardee's.

By 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, the road was back open.

Other details about the accident were unavailable.
