UPDATE: Fire Destroys Home in Jackson County, W.Va.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The cause of a fire Wednesday morning that destroyed a home along Evans Road in Cottageville remains under investigation, firefighters say.

Towering flames shot from the home, which was fully engulfed before firefighters arrived.

Everyone made it out safely, and no one was hurt.

The fire was reported about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are on the scene of a large fire at a house in Jackson County.

Firefighters say the fire broke out about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday along Evans Road in Cottageville.

Flames were shooting from the house when firefighters arrived on the scene.

So far there is no word on if anyone has been hurt.
