UPDATE: Two Men Dead in Mingo County Crash; Names Released

UPDATE 11/16/12 @ 5:15 p.m.
MINGO COUNTY, W.Va.(WSAZ) -- The names of two men killed in a morning crash have been released.

According to emergency crews, Randy Goble, of Kermit, and Donald Hill, of Stafford, Ky., died in the head-on collision. Both men are believed to be in their 50s.

The crash happened Friday, about 7 a.m., on U.S. 52 in Mingo County, about a mile south of Kermit.

According to emergency crews, Hill was driving northbound in a smaller truck on his way home from work when he crossed the center line and hit the tool truck that Goble was driving.

Mingo County Emergency Service Director Jarrod Fletcher told WSAZ.com that investigators believe that Hill may have fallen asleep just before the accident happened.

U.S. 52 was closed for several hours following the crash.

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va.(WSAZ) -- Two men have been killed in an early morning accident along U.S. 52 in Mingo County.

Mingo County Emergency Service Director Jarrod Fletcher tells WSAZ.com that two men, believed to be in their fifties, died in a head-on collision on U.S. 52 at Middle Burning Creek. That is about a mile south of Kermit.

Emergency crews believe that one of the men, driving northbound in a smaller truck, was headed home from work when he crossed the center line and hit a utility truck.

Fletcher told WSAZ.com that the driver of the smaller truck may have fallen asleep. Both men died as a result of the crash.

Names of the two men are not being released at this time.

U.S. 52 was closed for several hours following the crash.

MINGO COUNTY, W.Va.(WSAZ) -- Two people have been killed in a two vehicle crash in Mingo County.

County Emergency Management officials tell WSAZ.com the crash happened on U.S. 52 at Middle Burning Creek and involves two pickup trucks. That is about a mile south of Kermit.

We’re told the drivers of both trucks were killed in the head-on crash.

No other details have been released. U.S. 52 in the area of the crash is closed. The accident happened just after 7 a.m.
