CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men accused of holding up a bank in Cleveland and caught in West Virginia have waived extradition.

In a hearing in Cabell County on Wednesday, Tommy Lee Gallagher, 36, of Coshocton, Ohio, and Trevor James Spurlock, 21, of Chester, S.C., both agreed to go back to Ohio.

The men are accused of robbing the Key Bank branch in Westlake, Ohio last Friday.

They were arrested on Monday in Milton, after deputies received a call about suspicious men at a campground.

The men told WSAZ.com that they planned on going to South Carolina, but chose West Virginia instead, since they didn't think anyone would know them here.

The men will be held on fugitive from justice charges in the Western Regional Jail until Ohio officials pick them up.

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two men that police say robbed a bank near Cleveland, Ohio, were arrested at a campground in Milton, W.Va., on Monday afternoon.

Tommy Lee Gallagher, 36, of Coshocton, Ohio, and Trevor James Spurlock, 21, of Chester, S.C., are being held on fugitive from justice warrants in connection with the robbery at the Key Bank branch in Westlake, Ohio, on Friday.

Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas says deputies went to the campground after 911 received a call about suspicious people at the campground.

A records check revealed the men were wanted out of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. McComas says the men did not have a camper and were arrested without incident.

Following their arrest, both men told WSAZ.com they were employed as carnival workers and needed money. They said they traveled to Charleston, W.Va., before heading to the Milton campground.

A spokesperson for the Westlake Police Department tells WSAZ.com the two men went to separate tellers during the robbery. Each teller was then given a note implying they would be shot if they they didn't hand over the money. Westlake Police say the men never showed a weapon during the robbery.

Suspect Trevor Spurlock confirmed how the robbery happened. "We gave them a letter that said if they didn't give us the money that we was going to kill them, we didn't use a gun, we didn't have a firearm the whole time," said Spurlock

Spurlock also told WSAZ.com their original plan was to go to South Carolina, but after the robbery they didn't think it was a good idea and should try to stay where no one knows them.

Gallagher and Spurlock are being held without bond in the Western Regional Jail while they await an extradition hearing.

Police in Ohio plan to charge the men with armed robbery.
