HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- There are two new patrol units at the Cabell County Sheriff's Office, but they aren't the ones you normally see on the road.
Tuesday, Sheriff Tom McComas unveiled two new motorcycles that have been added to the fleet.
Sheriff McComas believes no other sheriff’s office in the state has a motor unit.
"We plan on using them for special events for help with crowd control with vehicles. Motorcycles allow officers the ability to get from point "A"to point "B"in crowds, whether its a crowd of people or vehicles, it's a whole lot easier than with a cruise," said McComas.
The Sheriff says some of his deputies have already been certified to operate the motorcycles.
