UPDATE: Car Crashes into South Charleston Restaurant; Driver Ticketed

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The driver of a car that crashed into a restaurant in South Charleston earlier this week has been issued a traffic citation.

Police say William Murray was trying to leave Los Agaves restaurant Wednesday night. He couldn't get into the driver's seat because another car was parked too close. Officers say Murray got in the passenger seat and tried to back out while leaning over the center console.

He then lost control and slammed into the restaurant.

Nine people suffered minor injuries.

Murray was given a ticket for failing to control his vehicle.

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Several injuries were reported Wednesday night when a car crashed into a restaurant along Third Avenue, Metro 911 dispatchers say.

A mother and her baby were taken to the hospital.

It happened just after 8 p.m. Wednesday at Los Agaves restaurant.

None of the injuries were thought to be serious.

It was unknown what caused the driver to crash into the building.
