UPDATE: City of Dunbar ATV Ordinance Moves Forward

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Possible restrictions of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) on Dunbar city streets moved forward Monday night.

Council members had the second reading of an ordinance that would prohibit ATVs from being allowed on main roads. They will be allowed to cross the roads if necessary.

Mayor Terry Greenlee said the ordinance is a step in the right direction for the community.

The ordinance will have a third and final reading at city council's next meeting. After that, it will go to council for a vote.

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ)-- The city of Dunbar wants more regulations when it comes to the use of all-terrain vehicles.

City Council had the first reading of an ATV ordinance Monday night.

The ordinance will prohibit any ATVs from operating on main roads. They will be allowed to cross the roads if necessary.

Dunbar Mayor Terry Greenlee says the ordinance is a step in the right direction for the safety of everyone.
