City of Dunbar Receives $80,000 for Care of Shawnee Park

DUNBAR, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The city of Dunbar received an $80,000 check Monday night from Kanawha County commissioners for the city's care of Shawnee Park.

Kanawha County commissioners Hoppy Shores and Dave Hardy showed up with the check.

The funds will go toward a new fence at Shawnee Park.

The city of Dunbar took over the park for the Kanawha County Commission.

Commissioners say the city of Dunbar has done a wonderful job of running the park.
