Condemned Meth House Busted Again

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For the third time since a house was condemned for meth, police were at the scene of the home along Rutledge Road.

Luther Marcum, 46, a convicted felon, is now being charged with possessing a firearm and meth, both of which were found inside the house.

Another man, Clayton Hackney, 53, is charged with giving false information to police and trespassing.

They were two of seven people found at the house Tuesday afternoon.

One of the women explained why she keeps coming back.

“I stay at my mom's with my son three or four days a week. I'm here the other couple of days; just because I have no family. I have nowhere to go. The lifestyle I live has a lot to do with it, too,” the woman said.

She also admitted that she and several others have been doing drugs inside the house.

It, along with several dozen other meth houses, is in line to be demolished.

The Kanawha County Planning Commission says it should be destroyed within the next six months.
