Route 2 Reopens after T-Bone Style Crash

MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Route 2 has reopened in Gallipolis Ferry after a t-bone style crash.

The crash happened about 12:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of the Par Mar Gas Station.

Point Pleasant Fire Chief Jeremy Bryant tells WSAZ.com the driver of a car was pulling out of the gas station and was t-boned by an oncoming truck.

The driver of the car was flown to the hospital. Their name or condition have not been released.

The driver of the truck refused medical treatment, according to Bryant.

The road was shut down for nearly two hours while crews cleaned up the scene.

No other details are being released at this time.

The Point Pleasant Fire Department, Mason County EMS, Mason County Sheriff's Office, West Virginia State Police and HealthNet responded to the scene.

MASON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Mason County 911 says Route 2 in Gallipolis Ferry is shut down because of a crash.

The crash was reported about 12:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of the Par Mar Gas Station.

Dispatchers say two vehicles were involved in the crash.

At least one person is being flown to the hospital for their injuries.

The road is shut down in both directions. No word when the road will reopen.

The Point Pleasant Fire Department, Mason County EMS, Mason County Sheriff's Office, West Virginia State Police and HealthNet are on scene.
