PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man is dead after crashing into a bridge in Putnam County.
The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. Monday on Route 34 near the intersection of Route 60 in Hurricane.
Police say Danny Quentrill, 63, slammed into the bridge at a high rate of speed.
He died at the scene.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that Quentrill had a medical problem before the crash.

Hurricane Police say the driver lost control of the car and slammed into a bridge.
The driver died at the scene.
Firefighters tell WSAZ.com that they believe speed was a factor in the crash.
Route 34 was shut down for several hours, but reopened late Monday afternoon.
The driver's name has not been released.
