PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A crackdown on distracted driving is underway right now in Putnam County.
Deputies kicked off the campaign on Friday.
Since then, they have handed out 22 tickets for drivers who were talking or texting on their phones behind the wheel.
They say they also handed out five warnings for other offenses during their patrols.
The campaign runs through Sunday, April 13.
A similar crackdown is also going on in Huntington.
