HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- FEMA has deployed a crew to the area after storms rolled through Friday night.
According to a press release from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FEMA is working closely with Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.
A FEMA liaison officer has been sent to Ohio to support state response efforts as needed.
An Incident Management Assistance Team has been deployed to West Virginia to work with the WV Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
"Response efforts are underway from last night's (Friday) storms. FEMA urges affected individuals to continue to monitor weather conditions, heed advice from local officials and take appropriate precautions due to the severe hot weather and humidity," said FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate.
