Second Fire Reported at Kanawha County Housing Complex

UPDATE @ 11:20 a.m.
KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- For a second time Monday, firefighters are back on the scene of a fire at a housing complex near St. Albans.

The latest fire was reported about 11 a.m. at 22 Geronimo Drive.

Firefighters are on the scene now trying to put the fire out.

Earlier this morning, firefighters responded to a fire about 6 a.m. at 49 Geronimo Drive. That fire was quickly put out and firefighters credit a smoke detector for saving a woman's life.

No word on what caused either fire.

ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters responded to an early morning fire in St. Albans Monday.

The fire was reported at 49 Geronimo Drive at the Indian Head Apartment Complex.

Firefighters tell the fire started in the back of a first floor apartment. A smoke detector inside the apartment woke up an elderly woman and she was able to get out safely.

No word on what started the fire or how bad the apartment was damaged.
