Early Morning Fire Destroys Abandoned Trailer

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An early morning fire destroyed an abandoned trailer on Cochran Lane in Nitro.

According to police, neighbors said that no one had lived there for some times. Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, but by the time they arrived they say the roof had collapsed and the building was not salvageable.

There is no word of any injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Firefighters are on the scene of a fully-involved house fire on Cochran Lane in Nitro.

It started about 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. It has forced the temporary closure of Cochran Lane as well as the intersection of 40th Street and Easter Road.

There's no word if anyone lived at the home or if anyone was in the house at the time the fire started. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
