FAYETTE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- An evening at home took a frightening turn for one homeowner in Fayette County.

According to a news release, the front door of a house on Blue Jay Road was open when a man walked inside, confronted the homeowner and demanded money.

When the homeowner said he didn't have any money, deputies say the suspect pulled out a gun and fired a shot into the floor. The man then turned around and walked out of the house without saying a word.
