HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington man was arrested Monday evening on child pornography charges, according to information from Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Phillip Russell Nichols, 31,was charged with distributing child pornography.
West Virginia State Police say they were notified by Nichols' employer on Sunday, that a memory card with pornographic images on it, was found in a computer. They say Nicholas was logged into the computer at the time.
They were able to determine the card belonged to Nichols because there are also a photo of his pet on the card. The same photo is reported to be hanging in Nichols' office.
State Police searched Nichols' home on Monday afternoon. They seized a computer, cell phones, hard drives and cameras.
They say that Nicholas admitted to them that he had been downloading pornography for several years and would occasionally download child pornography.
Nichols was taken to the Western Regional Jail. His bond was set at $20,000 cash only.
He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 24.
