HURRICANE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The northbound lane of Route 34 near Hurricane High School had to be shut down Saturday night due to a train accident.

It happened about 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

911 dispatchers say a train hit a U-Haul truck.

Crews at the scene tell WSAZ.com, the driver was crossing the tracks and didn't see the train. The train hit the truck and knocked it into a ditch.

Medics checked on the driver, but say he didn't suffer any serious injuries.
