UPDATE: Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash; Name Released

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Sheriff's deputies have released the name of the man killed in a motorcycle crash, Saturday evening.

Deputies say Robert Payne, 52, of Barboursville, died on the scene.

Payne was heading west when he went off the road and was thrown from the bike, which then traveled another 50 yards before coming to a stop.

One lane of Rt. 60 near Hughes Creek Road was closed following the crash, but has since reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Emergency crews are on the scene of a deadly motorcycle accident along Route 60 in Kanawha County.

It happened just before 6:00 p.m., Saturday.

911 dispatchers say one person has died in the accident on Route 60 near Hughes Creek Road.

The westbound lane of Route 60 remains closed in the area of the accident. However, traffic is being diverted to an eastbound lane.

No other vehicles were involved, and nobody else was hurt.
