SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The city of South Charleston is the latest city government to approve a social media policy for all city employees.
Thursday, the council approved a measure that officially defines what employees can and cannot post on their personal facebook pages.
Officials say most things regarding their jobs and the city are on the don't not post list.
South Charleston isn't the first to impose social media restrictions.
St. Albans approved a similar policy earlier this year.
City managers say they took a social media class which motivated them to draw up the policy.
