UPDATE: One Dead After I-77 Crash

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) ---West Virginia State Police say one man has died following a single-vehicle crash.

State Police say Dennis Jasper was traveling north on I-77 near Cabin Creek when he lost control of his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado and hit the guardrail.

He then went over an embankment, hitting several trees and landing on Giles Hollow Road.

A second passenger was flown to CAMC. Their condition is unknown at this time.

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man was found unresponsive Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash along I-77.

West Virginia State police say the accident happened near Cabin Creek shortly after noon.

They say the man lost control of his pickup truck and drove off of I-77. The truck then went over a hill and landed in Giles Hollow, trapping him and a woman inside.

The driver was found unresponsive by emergency crews and was taken to the hospital.
