UPDATE 9/23/13 @ 6:48 p.m.
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A 2-year-old boy wearing nothing but shoes wandered away from his home around 9:30 Sunday morning.

It was a shock to his parents when police came to the door because they had no clue their son was even missing.

Charles and Patricia Grieco both posted bond Monday afternoon.

Charles explained that the period from Sunday into Monday seemed to last forever.

"Missing our kids," he said during an interview in his family's front yard, still scattered with toys and diapers. "Me and my wife had a rough night of it. I did too; it bothered me all night wondering where our kids are. She is still having a rough time of it."

Five children live in the home. They are ages 14, 3, 2 (two kids) and 9 months old.

Charles says the couple does not do drugs. He says he was in bed with the 2-year-old boy while his wife was studying.

He says the little boy got up and left out the back door.

Neighbors say and Charles admits that it's not the first time this has happened.

"It's happened one other time at the Dollar Tree, he said. "But like I say, the kids, they get away, they sometimes get away."

Charles says he's done more to secure the yard, including working on a privacy fence, a makeshift fence on the porch to keep the children in and fixing the locks on the doors.

Child Protective Services, who Charles says has been to the home before, took the children Sunday.

"We let our 14-year-old watch our kids at one time and one of them got out in the street while she was watching them," Charles said. "They said 14 was too young but in 80 percent of the country, 14-year olds watch kids."

That 14-year-old girl ran away from home when CPS came to pick up the other children.

Charles blames CPS for that happening. He doesn't know where his daughter is. He says he wants her to turn herself in to authorities.

When asked for a picture of the girl, the family told WSAZ.com they gave the picture to CPS.

CPS says they cannot comment on active cases.

Huntington Police have listed the 14-year-old girl as missing.

The Griecos each face one count of child endangerment.

If convicted, they face a sentence of one to five years.
