Police: Heroin User Passes Out in Credit Union Bathroom and Gets Locked Inside

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police say a man woke up from a drug high only to find out he was locked inside a bank.

Police say Christopher Anderson, 32, of Huntington called police Friday night when he realized he was locked inside the C&O Credit Union in Huntington.

They say Anderson had gone into the business while it was open, and used the second floor restroom to use heroin.

However, they say the drug made him pass out, and he didn't wake up until hours later when the credit union was closed.

Anderson was arrested for misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and an old warrant when he finally got out of the building.

Several other businesses in town say they are seeing the same problem with their restrooms; gas stations in particular.

One gas station manager says she has her employees check the restrooms every now and then for suspicious people or items.

"One of my guys came in here because something was real fishy, said Go Mart Manager, Kathy Gamblin. "I think he found something and then he pulled one of the tiles down and all this stuff fell onto the floor; syringes, all kinds of dope paraphernalia."

Employees from other gas stations in Huntington say they too have been victims of drug users and have also found drugs in their ceiling tiles.
